The atmosphere inside Fir Park on Wednesday night is shaping up to be intense and now Celtic’s ultra scene is making sure the away end plays its part.
Ultra group the ‘bhoys’ released a statement to supporters on Tuesday evening confirming plans for a coordinated display ahead of Celtic’s crucial Premiership clash against Motherwell.
With just two games remaining, the title race could not be tighter. Celtic head into the penultimate fixture knowing victory is essential if they are to take the championship battle to the final day against Hearts at Celtic Park.
Following Sunday’s massive 3-1 derby win over Rangers, belief has surged back through the support. Martin O’Neill’s side blew Danny Rohl’s side away at Celtic Park and now attention quickly turns to Lanarkshire, where another huge test awaits.
In their communication, The Bhoys urged supporters to fully back the team “visually and vocally”.
The group also confirmed they have prepared a tifo display for the away end and asked supporters to raise the provided materials as the teams emerge from the tunnel.
A further request was made for supporters not to display CSC flags in the upper tier until a planned banner is removed shortly before kick-off.
“Bhoys Celtic have prepared a tifo ahead of Wednesday’s match in Motherwell. We ask all fans to raise the material provided as the teams emerge from the tunnel.”
Celtic know there is no margin for error.
A win at Fir Park would set up a dramatic final-day showdown with Hearts at Celtic Park. Anything less could see the title slip away by Wednesday evening.
The fans and the team are all pulling in the same direction and that has been crucial since the split.
