Life is so good right now if you are a Rangers fan, they have won 5 games in a row (DVD Out Today) and they have just beat the eight-in-row-champions. Steven Gerrard described yesterday’s win as the best day in his life, he said that included the birth of his 3 children.

Dave King, however, is ready to take things one step further, reports this morning suggest the Rangers owner has one eye firmly on an open top bus parade to celebrate The Rangers achievements this season. This is the first time in top flight football that Rangers players will WIN a runner up medal. The parade will also be about their unique culture and it has nothing to do with selling season tickets.

Legendary club captain, James Tavernier has suggested the bus/parade route should be re-paved in blue smurf like slabs. The Tav, has also come up with the idea of using the under 17s trophy for the front of the bus. The man with the armband is already shown signs of a  future boardroom member.

It is understood Rangers are confident the City Council will grant them planning permission, It is the insurance on the double-decker bus that could prove the bigger stumbling block,  that no claims bonus will need questions answered.

On the other side of the city, it is all doom and gloom. Celtic fans are licking their wounds this morning after another season of trophies, but they have been denied their usual 5 goal spree at Ibrox. With only a “Treble Treble” consolation prize left up for grabs, it is clear there is a shift in power in the city of Glasgow. There is no doubt that next season there will absolutely be a “title race”
